It’s been a year in the making, but my “love” gallery wall is finally finished! I was inspired by this “You are my sunshine” gallery wall from J&A and Company and knew I had to recreate it for the wall outside the master bedroom.
My first purchase was a Kohl’s special, which provided the theme inspiration.
I had to DIY a couple things. This one was in the docket already, Scrabble tile wall hanging.
I needed something circular so I was excited when I found this plaque in my craft closet. I painted it using the Shanty2Chic distress paint with Vasoline method.
I worked on four plaques that day, and there is a definitely a right balance of Vasoline – not too much and not too little. I mod podged the music paper (my hubby loves music) and painted the “s” and attached with some super glue.
I found all the frames at Hobby Lobby, and 50 percent off, of course.
I could have put “love” here, but that would have been too much. I like the message of “living love” better.
I got these for the stairwell, but that didn’t work out, so I decided they were prefect for this gallery. They originally had a brassy look so Hubby was nice enough to spray paint them. Of course I had to include a photo from the Valentine’s shoot on the love wall!
Can’t get much more brotherly love than in this photo!
My husband gave this to me on our fifth anniversary (wood), a perfect addition.
So nice to have this wall finally complete! After taking this photo, I realized I needed to move the second row over to the left a tad. Oops! But that will be an easy fix because I used Command strips to hang it all.
Thanks for stopping by Time to DIY! You can “like” my FB page or follow me on Twitter.
This is great! Love the variety! Command strips were smart…I'm definitely doing that for my next wall hanging endeavor. 🙂
Such a pretty wall! Love the fifth anniversary picture!!!
