The boys wanted to wear some green for St. Pat’s Day, and I’m always a fan of the “ties.” They are semi-easy for someone who can barely use the sewing machine (like me).
I made a pattern to make it a little easier.
Seamstresses would probably be mortified by my stitches, but the boys didn’t seem to notice.
I couldn’t resist also adding the shamrock.
And, of course, I needed something for the little girl.
It’s a good idea to sew the shamrock on before sewing them together. Oops.
I’ve learned that bows can look a mess and then you just hot glue some felt or wool onto it cover it up and hold it all together. Genius. I used regular elastic for the band.
I also sewed some shamrocks onto her onesie, but then I freaked out that she might chew them during nap so she only wore it for photos.
