Since it’s Shark Week, I will be sharing my son’s submarine/shark room, and this is his last shark party. And alligators, but poor alligators don’t get their own dedicated week. And I say “last party” because this was year 2 with this theme, and I’m guessing this won’t be the last.
His birthday is Dec. 27 so I usually have to dig deep to muster strength to bust out the cupcakes and birthday decor right after Christmas, but he usually acknowledges every detail and says, “This is the best party ever!” so it’s worth it. Just giving full disclosure that it’s light on the DIY. It’s more of a “Okay, E’s birthday is tomorrow! Let’s go raid the sea creature aisle at Party City!”
Here he is checking out all the details.
I saved some of the decorations from his 3rd birthday. I got some of the decor from Etsy, but I won’t link the shop because it arrived late. I’ve used some of this decor in his new room as well.
The alligator cupcakes were Pinterest/Google-inspired.
But I did have a mommy-fail with the “4” candle – my son loves sea creature predators, but he’s not crazy about the sparklers. And sheep. He’s had nightmares about sheep so you just never know.
Luckily we had some regular candles.
Happy Shark Week! Maybe alligators will get some recognition too someday.
