My littlest brother graduated from high school recently, and I’m known for giving at least one photo gift so I thought this one would be perfect. And easy!
I bought the plaque at Hobby Lobby for about $1.50 (they are $1-$2 depending on the size).
First I painted the plaque using Americana Soft Black. It only needed one coat.
After it dried, I mod podged (this is a verb, right?) the entire plaque and placed the photo. I used Matte Mod Podge because I felt like glossy would be too much shimmer for an 18 year old. And I used a matte finish photo as well because I’m a matte-finish fan for photos.
After it dried, I mod podged it again including the photo to get a good seal.
I wrote a personal message for him on the back, but I did forgot to drill a hole to hang. Oops! However, Command strips are probably the best way to hang something like this anyway. Next time I will remember to include those.
Thanks for stopping by Time to DIY!
