Because the boys love Halloween so much, I integrated their masterpieces from the Little Monsters and Spider Craft Playdate into my Halloween mantle design – the reveal is at the end of this post. 🙂
I also incorporated a few other items:
1. Antique mercury glass candler holders from Pottery Barn. Candle and votives are also from Pottery Barn. I’ve never had great luck with cheaper candles – they always drip off the mantle onto the fireplace.
By the way, all Pottery Barn candles and holders are on sale right now (at least online), so check it out if you need some fall candle lighting/decor.
The boys loved the trip to Pottery Barn where they met Mr. Bones.
2. Black votive cups from Pottery Barn (no link because I couldn’t find them online).
3. Wooden frame from Hobby Lobby. I painted the glass with chalkboard paint.
4. Lantern from Hobby Lobby.
5. Cardboard pumpkin from Michael’s painted with silver liquid gilding. Read about clean-up if you use silver liquid gilding – I missed that part and made a bit of a mess.
6. A little white pumpkin from Hobby Lobby.
I hot glued leftover ribbon from my Halloween wreath to the spiders and then taped it to the mantle to hang them.
And here is the full mantle!
Next post I will share my Halloween wreath. Not sure how confident I am in this new Halloween decor venture, but it’s been fun trying something new.
