Don’t you feel like we could all use and spread a little more love lately? This Valentine’s Day I’ve been thinking of ways to spread more love, and how to motivate my kiddos to do the same, aside from the 30 school valentines. So naturally that theme carried over into some of my decor, and I’m excited to share this fun little DIY project! It’s so easy and the “make the world a better place” message can be used year-round!
And all you need for this project is:
- a frame
- scrapbook paper
- small canvas (optional)
You can find these cute quotes in the scrapbook section at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Sometimes they are in a big pad or stand-alone pages.
I decided “make the world a better place” fit with Valentine’s, and life in general, right? Because that’s pretty much what it’s all about.
I found this cute polka dot paper in this scrapbook paper pad. I also used this pattern in my DIY heart kit.
I got this small canvas at Michaels and it’s optional, but I liked the way it made the quote pop.
I used double-sided tape that I had on hand, but any double sided adhesive would do.
And then I used the same tape to secure it on the polka dot paper.
Then tape to the back with scotch tape (and it can even be previously used scotch tape like mine, haha) and it’s done!
I didn’t like the glare, so I removed the glass.
And these are the shelves on the other side that I recently updated and restyled a bit.
