Happy weekend! My husband was traveling this week so it felt like a time warp, but now I’m ready to tackle a swim meet and Halloween carnivals this weekend. I finally managed to finish and shoot this year’s Halloween decor. I went with the black-and-white-with-a-bit-of-color theme. I’m currently on a decor spending freeze, so lucky for me I’m a craft hoarder and had some things from last year that I never used, and I gave some of my old decor some new life. Check out the tour!
I only did decor in the kitchen this year – the gray/off white in the rest of my house didn’t work as well with my B&W theme. It was nice to focus on just one location, too.
I used these banners on my mantle last year. That BOO banner is reversible (JOY on the back). You can see how I used it for other holidays here.
The tray is my island staple because it holds straws and napkins. The bat is from Mint Studio – my daughter and I had fun painting that together. And don’t you love those cute little ghosts and pumpkins? Those are from Hobby Lobby.
The wreath above the hood was a cheap and easy DIY – you can get all the details here. I’m going to move it outside on Halloween.
I got the bats at Michaels, but they could easily be DIY’d, too!
I added some washi tape to that canister. I almost donated that jack-o-lantern because I couldn’t find a place for it, but then realized this functional purpose. The best kind of decor, right?
I love incorporating my Lightbox during the holidays. “Boo yeah” is a shout-out to my boys, they love that phrase, haha.
The Trick or Treat pumpkin was a make-and-take craft at the BB Frosch/Heidi Swapp booth at Pinners conference last year. My daughter helped me paint that one, too.
I added some yellow fabric to that pumpkin to give it some color.
And I always have to have my tea station ready!
I picked up this cute sign at Hobby Lobby. Are you in the pumpkin spice lover camp?
I dedicated this corner to the kids’ Halloween crafts. I took advantage of the door busters at Michaels last weekend, and got an hour of free time while they were working on these.
And then I added some more crafts here with some paper plates.
All festive and ready for the big day!
If you liked these decor ideas, please pin it!

This all looks great! I’m always impressed at the decor you’re able to pull together without any new shopping! It’s going to be a chilly Halloween here…we’ll have to layer up under our costumes. 🙂 Happy Halloween!
