My sister needed something for her dorm wall so we headed to Michael’s when I was visiting last weekend. We consulted my Wall board to get some inspiration, and we started with this chevron model, but with a heart instead of a flower. But it just wasn’t coming together so we kept looking and found this piece made with painter’s tape.
She bought the canvas with her 40% off coupon and some gray craft paint for 33 cents. Total cost = $12. She already had some painter’s tape.
It was still drying here so it looks a little funky, but at least the lines are clean.
She also bought purple felt (two for 29 cents each) to make the felt flowers, and we cut six squares in each piece.
Then she did a mock-up of the heart before gluing.
She did some paint touch-ups and then wah-la, done! Took about an hour and a half total.
And here it is in her room.
Thanks for stopping by Time to DIY!

Love this!! Wish my dorm room looked half as cute when I was in college! 🙂

Thanks! I know – I'm not sure I would have gotten any studying done if Pinterest had been around, but my dorm would have been cute. Haha.
