The “Frozen” theme is a perfect winter party, so you can imagine my excitement when my daughter decided on a Frozen inspired princess party for her third birthday in December! I shopped before Christmas so it was easy to find the decor, but most of it is available on Amazon too, so you’re in luck if you’re planing a party this winter.
This would be fun for a regular party as well, it doesn’t have to just be for a birthday!
For table decor, I used white stain for the table cloth and blue sequin fabric for the runner, and tied it off with snowflake ribbon on each end. Then I added a couple trees and sprinkled a few snowflake ornaments here and there.
I used stands, white plates and silver chargers that I already had, and then used some doilies (I love the Wilton multipack) and snowflake ornaments for the settings.
The guest of honor got an extra blue snowflake and fur cover on her chair. 🙂
For the name cards, I did hand lettering on a paper tag and some vintage silver tinsel garland to tie it off.
I used woven crocheted elastic (pressed it with hot glue) around the table to attach the tulle. Tip: spools of tulle are a huge time saver! Then at the end of the party, I took it off and cut it so the girls could have an Elsa skirt as a party favor. Just use a ribbon or tulle to tie it off in the back.
For the chairs, we wrapped tulle and attached some ornaments.
And then I sprinkled in some other decor.
It was my mom’s idea to add the snowflakes in the window and I loved those! My design team (my mom and brother) did a great job hanging them: They looped the tulle over the curtain rod and strung the ornaments after each loop.
For the food, since it was more tea party style so I went with (mostly white) finger foods.
We used a snowflake cookie cutter to make the PB & J. And my personal favorite was the popcorn: Wilton candy melts melted over popcorn. I got the “color burst” option, but you can also use white and add sprinkles. There is lemonade, not tea, in that pot. 😉
For the cupcakes, we used a vanilla cake mix and this white chocolate icing recipe. I got the tulip cupcake liners at Michaels, but a similar style are these cute blue and white polka dot liners.
The decor was fun, but the highlight of the party was the princesses!
My sister and her friends were nice enough to dress up and spend the afternoon with the girls. 🙂
They read, sang, danced, ate and played outside, which was pretty much a perfect day for a three year old!
And Princess Elsa even drew a picture for the birthday girl!
Such a fun day!
I got all the dresses on Amazon: Belle from “Beauty and the Beast”, Elsa and Anna from “Frozen” and Ariel from “The Little Mermaid”.
